Dove Wants Everyone to Stop Chasing "Likes"

But Dove’s new marketing campaign #NoLikesWanted needs to take the main target off of this stress and encourage self love IRL.

The model surveyed younger ladies within the United Kingdom and found six out of 10 assume they’re prettier onlinethan in actual life, and that is not okay. And it isn’t like this phenomenon is strictly a tween and teenage factor — ladies aged 18 – 23 need to obtain “likes” triple the quantity that their youthful counterparts do.

“Today’s analysis allows us to higher perceive the connection between social media and ladies’ shallowness, and the significance of speaking to ladies about physique confidence earlier than they flip 18,” says Dove UK’s model director Lucy Attley in an interview with The Telegraph.
